Aurora
Aurora Aksnes, born June 15 1995 in Stavanger and known professionally as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase in the form of AURORA is an Norwegian music producer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, released in May 2015 by Decca Records to great approval from music journalists and media. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band, was released for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are just two of her most well-known recordings. Katy Perry shared a tweet that Perry announced her new song Runaway. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memory is of finding a piano hidden in the attic of her home, and being captivated by the sound it made. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged Aurora to study music, not as work or for a passion, but as an opportunity to grow. The Aksnes family advised her to compose. Her sources include noted authors Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in addition to her love for Bjork's style. Her mother encouraged her to perform her songs in public, not to achieve fame, but rather in order to show others the importance of their work and what they can do for the world. She began playing the piano at the age of six, and began creating music when she was nine. Her family didn't hear about her musical journey until she was fourteen. There was no way she could have imagined to turn into Aurora. She claims that she simply likes to write songs. For her, music is the only way to feel anything.
